ATLANTA (AP) - Winners in the Georgia Associated Press Media Editors annual broadcast contest were honored Saturday at the group’s meeting in Atlanta.

Stations were judged in three divisions: Radio, TV Division 1 for large market stations and Division 2 for medium and small market stations.

WSB Radio and WSB-TV in Atlanta and WRDW-TV in Augusta won the Pacemaker awards. The Pacemaker is awarded to the station in each division with the best overall performance in the contest.

Best Newscast awards also went to WSB Radio and WSB-TV, and WALB-TV in Albany.

The Georgia APME is comprised of newspapers and broadcast stations that are members of the news cooperative. The group also honored The Atlanta Journal Constitution for its outstanding photo cooperation and The Augusta Chronicle for best overall member cooperation.
