KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Former Tennessee men’s basketball coach Donnie Tyndall’s new job as a professional wrestling manager was short-lived.

After he was fired by UT in March, Tyndall became a “guest coach” for New Heavenly Bodies with Global Force Wrestling. He made his debut Saturday night at Smokies Park, not too far from where he used to work.

But the Knoxville News Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/1MU6FTD ) that before the night was over, Tyndall tweeted the performance “was a one-time thing.”

Tyndall didn’t elaborate on his decision, or why he decided to try the wrestling business.

Tyndall was fired from the university after Tennessee officials decided the NCAA was likely to determine he committed serious violations while coaching Southern Mississippi from 2012-14. Southern Mississippi is currently under NCAA investigation.
