COLFAX, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say 113 people were rescued from an all-terrain vehicle park in central Louisiana after a temporary private levee broke, trapping festival-goers on high ground.

Master Trooper Scott Moreau says that about 3:15 a.m. Sunday, the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office asked help evacuating the Colfax Mudfest Recreational Park. He says in an email that everyone was evacuated safely.

The nearly 400-acre park has off-road trails along the Red River. It offered a day of music at Saturday’s “Mud Jam 2015,” with the ticket covering a stay into Sunday. Park officials did not immediately answer a request for comment.

Moreau says state wildlife agents, troopers and sheriff’s deputies used boats to rescue the people, while Louisiana Army National Guard soldiers flew overhead to make sure everyone reached safety.
