BEDFORD, N.H. (AP) - A new scoreboard at a New Hampshire Little League field honors a Navy SEAL who died earlier this year during a training exercise in Florida.

Thirty-one-year-old William “Blake” Marston in 1995 played on the Bedford Little League’s championship team.

WMUR reports (https://bit.ly/1JRxh7J ) that the team on Saturday unveiled a new scoreboard in his honor.

Marston died in January, after making a hard landing during a skydiving exercise.

Marston was in the Navy for six years and served two years in Afghanistan. He was a standout baseball player at the Derryfield School in Manchester and at Stonehill College in Massachusetts, where he graduated in 2007.

WMUR quotes his father as saying the got his start in baseball on the Little League field in Bedford.
