FORT DUCHESNE, Utah (AP) - Authorities are searching for leads in the shooting death of a man on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation in northeast Utah.

FBI spokesman Todd Palmer says he could only confirm an investigation is underway by his agency and U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs police.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1GETllc ) the victim was outside a house about 3:30 a.m. Sunday when he was shot by someone who drove by in a vehicle.

Uintah County Sheriff’s Cpl. Brian Fletcher says the suspect’s vehicle was described as an older-model black Nissan Maxima with tinted windows and stock rims.

The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.
