LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 47-year-old man has been indicted on murder charges in the shooting deaths of his landlords in northwest Las Vegas last month.

Mark Carpenter was arrested after the bodies of 62-year-old Gary Cravish and 56-year-old Bonny Cravish were found in the bedroom of their home on May 7.

Carpenter, a blackjack dealer who rented a small house on the couple’s residential lot, told police he shot the couple over a dispute but did not elaborate.

The county coroner says the Cravishes were killed with shotgun blasts to the chest.

Carpenter is being held without bail and awaits a June 18 court appearance.

The Clark County grand jury also indicted him on a burglary charge in the case.
