MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say one man was shot to death and three other people were wounded by gunfire outside a nightclub in the central Georgia town of Milledgeville.

Baldwin County Coroner John Gonzales said the shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday. He tells The Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1GmppJ1) there were “many, many bullets exchanged.”

Gonzales said the dead man was found in some bushes near the Soulmasters Lounge on the city’s west side.

Gonzales said two of the wounded drove themselves to a Macon hospital. He said a third person was treated at a Milledgeville hospital and later taken to Macon.

Identities of those involved weren’t immediately released as authorities worked to notify their families.

The Telegraph reports that it was unclear what prompted the shooting in the town about 90 miles southeast of Atlanta.
