WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Weatherford man was killed when he was impaled by a metal fence pipe in a single-vehicle crash near in Custer County.

The OHP says 20-year-old Nicholas Fenton died at the scene of the crash near Weatherford about 7 a.m. Sunday.

An OHP report says Fenton was southbound when his vehicle went off the roadway and struck a metal pipe fence. The report says a section of the pipe went through the driver’s side headlight and impaled Fenton.
