ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police have arrested a woman suspected of causing a hit-and-run accident while under the influence of alcohol.

Police spokesman Simon Drobik said Sunday that Jessica Lucero has been arrested and booked into Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center. He did not specify the charges she faces.

Drobik says Lucero allegedly was driving southbound Saturday night on Coors near Avalon when she hit a man as he was crossing the street.

He says the victim is in critical condition but is not expected to survive.

Lucero is accused of immediately fleeing the scene.

A police air unit located her at a home, where she was taken into custody without incident.
