ROYERSFORD, Pa. (AP) - Two Pennsylvania state troopers are recovering after a high-speed chase through two counties ended in a crash.

Authorities say the chase started around 2 a.m. Monday when troopers were called to assist Reading officers in the pursuit of a stolen car. The chase crossed into Montgomery County on Route 422 where troopers laid down spike strips.

After hitting the spike strips, the suspect’s vehicle struck the troopers’ vehicles.

The troopers were taken to Phoenixville Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The 35-year-old suspect was taken into custody. He faces aggravated assault charges.
