AURORA, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say the body of a 55-year-old man who apparently drowned accidentally has been pulled from a lake in northeast Ohio the day after he was reported missing in the lake.

Aurora Fire Chief Dave Barnes says the man’s body was recovered about 1 p.m. Sunday from Sunny Lake in Aurora. Fire and police crews responded to the emergency call that came in shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Barnes says divers helped in the search that continued until about 1 a.m. and resumed later Sunday morning in the city about 30 miles southeast of Cleveland.

The Portage County coroner’s office is investigating the death that Barnes says appeared to be an accidental drowning. The man’s name was being withheld pending notification of his family.
