BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 26-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after his vehicle struck and killed a man standing on a street corner in Buffalo.

Police say a 44-year-old man was hit around 3 a.m. Saturday at a corner in the city’s Lovejoy neighborhood.

The man was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he later died. His name hasn’t been released.

Police say Eric Dragone of Buffalo was charged with murder for driving his vehicle into the man.

Dragone is being held Monday in the Erie County Jail. It couldn’t be determined if he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.

No other details have been released.
