AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - A man accused of killing a man and wounding a woman in a drive-by shooting has turned himself in.

Multiple news sources report 27-year-old Latrell Deontre Shubert was booked at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Sunday afternoon. Shubert is accused of killing 20-year-old Edwin Dean Williams Jr. and wounding 22-year-old Marie Greene in a neighborhood Saturday night. Authorities say Williams was shot multiple times in the torso and was pronounced dead on the scene. Green suffered a gunshot wound to her left hand.

Shubert was charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
