FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - A 64-year-old North Pole man died Sunday night of injuries incurred when his all-terrain vehicle rolled.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (https://bit.ly/1KTDQrl) reports Michael Mutschler died at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage.

Alaska State Troopers say he was driving the ATV at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday at Independence Circle and Yellowstone Road northeast of downtown North Pole when he swerved to avoid another vehicle.

Troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says by email that Mutschler may have been driving as fast as 40 mph.

He lost control of the ATV and it rolled at least three times. Mutschler was ejected.

He was rushed to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and later flown to Providence.
