CINCINNATI (AP) - A 19-year-old southwest Ohio man has been jailed after he allegedly drove around a golf course, spinning tires and causing extensive damage.

Police say Matthew Pittman of the Cincinnati suburb of Cleves caused damages estimated at $70,000 to $100,000 by driving his sport utility vehicle over fairways and teeing areas at Aston Oaks golf course. The course is in suburban North Bend, west of Cincinnati.

Police say he was “spinning out and doing donuts.” He then crashed the vehicle into a creek at the course.

Pittman was arrested Sunday on charges of vandalism and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. He remained in Hamilton County Jail on Monday morning. No attorney was listed for him.
