ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police say two drivers were under the influence of alcohol when they crashed into each other in Albuquerque, leaving both with non-life-threatening injuries.

Albuquerque police officer Fred Duran says the accident occurred late Sunday and that one driver seemed intoxicated and had serious injuries when police arrived. He was transported to a local hospital.

Duran says the second driver also displayed sings of intoxication and was arrested for drunken driving. Authorities are waiting for results from a chemical test.

The names of drivers were not released.
