COVE FORT, Utah (AP) - A semi-truck driver has died after the vehicle crossed the highway in Cove Fort then went down a steep embankment and rolled.

KUTV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1KT0DUc ) 46-year-old Deron Mason, of Wiggins, had been partially pinned underneath the vehicle Sunday. He had not been wearing a seat belt.

The vehicle wasn’t discovered until a passing motorist stopped at the site and looked over the embankment.

Police say the semi-truck had been left there for at least 24 hours before it was found.

Moving the truck and driver has been difficult due to heavy rain and the location of the crash.

Police say the driver got fuel in Las Vegas Friday morning and did not make his delivery to Denver on time.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
