WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - Wheeling police are seeking a man who fired several gunshots from the upper level of a hotel’s parking garage.

Sgt. D.L. Gittings tells media outlets that no one was injured.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening at the McLure Hotel’s parking garage. Authorities placed the hotel on lockdown for about 50 minutes and closed a nearby street to traffic.

Gittings says evidence found at the scene indicates the shots were fired from a small-caliber handgun.

Police say the man was wearing a light gray baseball type shirt with three-quarter length blue sleeves and blue jeans.
