RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Reno Police Department will dedicate Robinhood Park in honor of the late police officer Craig Pittman.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports (https://on.rgj.com/1GHMQhx ) the dedication ceremony for Pittman will be held Saturday.

Officer Pittman served the Reno Police Department for more than 20 years. According to the department, he retired because of an on-duty injury.

Pittman helped to start a program called the Senior Auxiliary Volunteers Effort.

He was a key member involved in the development of Robinhood Park in the early 1990s.
