DE PERE, Wis. (AP) - A tanker truck carrying chemicals rolled over on a Green Bay area interstate, injuring the driver and temporarily tying up traffic in both directions.

Authorities say the crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. Monday on Interstate 41 in the Town of Lawrence. The semi driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say the tanker is carrying aluminum sulfate, some of which spilled. It’s used in paper making and waste water treatment and can cause respiratory irritation.

Brown County sheriff’s deputies say the spill has been mitigated and the tanker has been towed away.
