UNION, S.C. (AP) - Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a woman just west of Union.

Sheriff David Taylor told local media outlets that deputies were called to a mobile home park shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies found the woman lying in the doorway of a mobile home. She had been shot in the face.

Coroner William Holcombe said the victim was 54-year-old Vicki Diane Curtis. Holcombe said an autopsy was planned Tuesday in Newberry.

Taylor said people in the home told deputies that those responsible for the shooting had left the area.

The sheriff said the suspects have been identified. He has not released their names. No arrests have been reported.
