PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police have issued an all-clear after two Navy support facilities in Philadelphia were evacuated following an unspecified threat.

But Navy officials said non-essential personnel in Philadelphia have been dismissed for the day.

A police spokeswoman said military officials ordered the evacuation of the Naval Support Activity facility in northeast Philadelphia and the Navy Yard in south Philadelphia at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday following the unspecified threat. Police 911 operators were told just after 11 a.m. that the security level had been raised.

But Philadelphia police said shortly after noon that they had been told that there was no credible threat to either facility.

The Navy Yard, now largely home to offices, manufacturing and research facilities - said it remained open although non-essential personnel had been dismissed.
