MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say 21 people have been injured after a bus and car collided in Myrtle Beach.

Police said the wreck happened when the car was turning left and was hit by the bus on U.S. Highway 501 about a mile west of the beach around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Police Lt. Joey Crosby told media outlets he did not know the conditions of the injured people. Firefighters say one person had to be cut from the wreckage.

The crash remains under investigation.
