CLEVELAND (AP) - Three admitted gang members in Cleveland have been sentenced to prison for shooting into a home and wounding a rival.
Federal prosecutors said Jonte Ervin, Martez Powell and Martell Taylor - all 19 - pleaded guilty to participating in a criminal gang. Ervin also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, and the other two pleaded guilty to felonious assault.
Taylor was sentenced 10 years in prison, Powell was sentenced to seven years, and Ervin got six years.
Prosecutors said the men were members of gang known as JPARK and planned an attack on a member of a rival gang on Jan. 15. Shots were fired into a home on the city’s east side, hitting an 18-year-old man twice.
The men were sentenced last week in U.S. District Court.
