HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) - Officials say a 35-year-old man has died after he was pulled from the surf at Hollywood beach.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1GpcaHJ ) reports the unidentified man was one of several people caught up in rip currents in the ocean in Broward County Sunday afternoon.

The man was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he died.

The man was one of several pulled from the surf Sunday but was the only swimmer requiring a trip to the hospital.
