ATLANTA (AP) - State environmental officials say poor air quality could lead to respiratory issues in sensitive groups.

The National Weather Service says the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division has issued a code orange air quality alert for the metro Atlanta area on Wednesday.

Officials say outdoor air could cause breathing problems in some people. Officials say people with heart and lung issues should limit the amount of time they spend outdoors in the late afternoon and early evening.
