ALICEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - An Aliceville man has been charged with trying to kill a man in connection with a shooting at a party in Tuscaloosa County.

The Tuscaloosa News (https://bit.ly/1KUVMSl ) reports 32-year-old Carl James McClendon III was arrested Monday. Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit commander Capt. Gary Hood says McClendon is suspected of firing several shots at a 25-year-old victim Saturday. The victim remained in critical condition on Monday at DCH Regional Medical Center.

McClendon was arrested for attempted murder and was booked in Tuscaloosa County Jail. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
