BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police are investigating a body found by a utility worker checking one side of a house.

East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Beau Clark said the body, suspected to be male, is “skeletonized,” meaning it’s “at advanced stages of decomposition.”

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1Trw5MI ) the body was found about 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Clark says the coroner’s office will conduct a forensic medical examination Wednesday and will work with LSU’s FACES laboratory, an organization specializing in facial reconstruction, to help determine an identity.

Clark says he hasn’t determined how long the body has been deceased, and has not ruled out foul play.
