ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say the body of an elderly woman has been pulled from the water on a beach in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Lt. Alan Love of the East Bay Regional Park District Police tells the San Francisco Chronicle that the woman was found Tuesday afternoon at Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda.

Love says a visitor saw the body in the water and pulled it to shore.

There were no immediate details available on the woman’s identity, exact age or cause of death.
