DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) - A former central Ohio home health care aide has been sentenced to five years in prison for raping the teenage sister of a developmentally disabled client.

Thirty-two-year-old Abulay Nian was sentenced Monday after a jury convicted him in April of raping the 17-year-old girl at the client’s home in Lewis Center, just north of Columbus.

Nian had worked just two weeks in November for the now-defunct Atlas Home Health, and was caring for the developmentally disabled boy. The victim, now 18, testified that Nian came into her upstairs bedroom and raped her on Nov. 14.

The Columbus Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1IYNXvy) reports that Nian still denies having sexual contact with the girl, contending that he only hugged her.

Prosecutors said Nian abused his position of trust and has shown no genuine remorse.
