NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been accused of breaking into his landlord’s home, tying him up, striking him on the head with a revolver, and taking more than $900.
The Valley News reports (https://bit.ly/1MHGHlw) 29-year-old Brandon Green of New London was arraigned Monday in Newport District Court. His bail was set at $100,000.
Police responded to Georges Mills Cottages and Lodging early Monday after property owner Spec Bowers called to report he was the victim of a break-in. They found him bleeding from the side of his head with a belt fastened around his neck and an electrical cord tied to his right hand.
Bowers identified Green as his attacker. In court Monday, Green said he was innocent, telling Judge Bruce Cardello he had “never robbed anything in my life.”
