PAYSON, Utah (AP) - One person is dead after a Payson house fire.

The Daily Herald of Provo reports (https://bit.ly/1cYvoJw ) that Payson Police Department Lt. Bill Wright says the Monday blaze killed one man. Three other people who lived in the house were not home at the time.

They are being helped by a disaster team from the American Red Cross.

The name of the man who died has not yet been released.

Payson Fire Chief Scott Spencer says fire was showing through the front door and windows when the first truck arrived Monday afternoon.

He says fire officials are not sure where or how the fire started.

He says the house was two stories and approximately 1,500 square feet. The estimated damage is $100,000.
