PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - A homeowner carrying out an eviction north of Detroit has found a man’s body in a closet.

The Detroit News reports (https://bit.ly/1MZNZBZ ) Tuesday that the discovery was made Monday afternoon in Pontiac.

Authorities say the body had been in the closet for some time and that the man may have been dead at least two weeks.

A 55-year-old man had been renting the home, but neighbors said they hadn’t seen him in at least two weeks.

An autopsy was to be performed by the Oakland County medical examiner’s office. The county sheriff’s office is investigating the death.
