TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting in a Tucson backyard that left a man with non-life threatening injuries.

The Arizona Daily Star reports (https://bit.ly/1HOrsaY) Tucson Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Bay says the homeowner who shot the man is cooperating with the investigation.

Officers responded Monday afternoon to reports of suspicious activity. Bay says the department also received reports of a man jumping coming in and out of people’s backyards.

The man was shot by the homeowner, and police picked him up at a business where he went for help. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
