CLEARFIELD, Utah (AP) - Authorities in northern Utah and Wyoming are looking for a suspect who has been linked by DNA evidence to nine unsolved rapes that occurred between 1991 and 2001.

The Standard-Examiner reports (https://bit.ly/1dIddbC) a victim was able to give a detailed description on Monday of a car also seen at an attack in Riverdale in 1991 and one in Clearfield in 1994.

The vehicle is described as a dark, two-door Pontiac Firebird. The witness told police Monday the front bucket seats had sheep skin and that there was a bench seat in the back with a transmission hump.

Clearfield Police Sgt. Kyle Jeffries says an active search for the suspect is being carried out by a task force including his agency and authorities from Layton, Riverdale, Ogden and Rock Springs, Wyoming.
