FLEMINGTON, N.J. (AP) - The brother of Union County Sheriff Joe Cryan has lost his driver’s license for life.

A judge sentenced 55-year-old John Cryan of Alexandria Township to 364 days in the Hunterdon County Jail.

He pleaded guilty to assault by auto, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident in 2013 in which the other driver sustained a broken wrist.

At the time of the crash, his license was suspended because of a drunken driving accident in 2009.
