CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Police say a 28-year-old woman is recovering after she was accidentally shot while ordering food at a McDonald’s drive-thru.

Concord police say the shooting happened shortly before noon Saturday and came from inside her car while a baby was in the back seat. A 29-year-old man was in the passenger’s seat.

The woman’s thighs were hit, but no arteries or bones were damaged. She was taken to Concord Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say they’re investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting, but that it was not self-inflicted or intentional.

Authorities say the gun was legally owned.

No charges have been filed.
