DETROIT (AP) - The National Association of Black Journalists has selected Detroit to host its 2018 convention.

Felecia Henderson, president of the Detroit Association of Black Journalists and an assistant managing editor at The Detroit News, tells the newspaper (https://bit.ly/1GsGbq1 ) the convention traditionally attracts thousands and it was held in Detroit in 1982 and 1992.

National Association of Black Journalists says Detroit is “America’s great comeback city.” Detroit emerged in December from the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history.
