NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a recycling plant in North Las Vegas, taking more than six hours to knock it down.
KVVU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1N1ycTb ) that the fire started just after noon at Las Vegas Recycling and was 90 percent contained Tuesday evening.
North Las Vegas Fire Capt. Cedric Williams says the size of the fire and the high temperatures, both in weather and blaze, forced the department to try to bring in extra forces to contain the fire.
Fire officials say the two-story office building is a total loss, with significant smoker and fire damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
