MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - A former food service contract employee at the Jackson County Jail in southern Oregon has been indicted, accused of giving inmates contraband such as alcohol, tobacco and cell phones in exchange for sexual favors.

The Mail-Tribune reports (https://is.gd/qEy6nJ ) that 46-year-old Buddy Gene Arnett of Medford was indicted Monday on charges of custodial sexual misconduct, prostitution and supplying contraband.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation began in March and Arnett’s security clearance was immediately revoked.

Arnett is scheduled for arraignment July 9. It wasn’t known late Tuesday whether he had a lawyer.
