RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island man has been arrested after authorities recovered drugs and guns at his home where he lived with seven children.

Police say William Moore, of Riverhead, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

Moore was arrested Tuesday after authorities executed a search warrant following an investigation into drug sales at the Riverhead home.

Police say they found drugs, marijuana and heroin, scales, packaging materials and cash. Two shotguns also were discovered in the home.

The children ranged in age from 2 to 15.

Moore is being held on $5,000 cash bail. Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1IOBQhD ) says his attorney couldn’t be reached for comment.
