HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a northern New Jersey man failed to report the death of a young woman who went missing last summer.

Bergen County prosecutors say 19-year-old Antony Freay, of Cresskill, faces numerous charges, including desecrating or damaging human remains and hindering apprehension by concealing evidence and providing false information. His bail was set at $50,000 cash, and he was scheduled to make his initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon.

The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Mila Kostadinova, an 18-year-old Dumont woman reported missing by her family in June 2014.

Prosecutors say she had been with several friends in the hours before she disappeared, and was last seen at Freay’s home.
