RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Dangerous heat is possible again in parts of North Carolina.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for 17 counties in the eastern and southeastern part of the state for Wednesday.

The heat is expected to be dangerous in areas around Sanford, Pinehurst, Fayetteville, Lumberton and Wilmington.

Forecasters say heat index readings could reach 105 degrees between midday and early evening.
