FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say seven men and two women have been arrested during a warrant sweep aimed at people who have failed to pay child support.

The three-day roundup was conducted by members of the sheriff’s office uniformed and investigations bureaus.

They started off Tuesday morning with 90 civil warrants for those delinquent on child support obligations.

Deputies went to houses and businesses from Apache Junction to Oracle trying to find the persons named on the warrants, but most had left the county or moved to a new address.

The sweep netted almost $14,000 in bond money from the nine arrests.

Sheriff’s officials say that among those arrested was a 37-year-old Eloy woman who owed more than $1,400 in child support and a 40-year-old Coolidge man who owed $3,000.
