LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man is charged with attempted murder and two teenagers could face the same charge in connection with the throwing of concrete off a bridge over Interstate 20 near Leesville.

They say a tractor-trailer driver from Augusta, Georgia, suffered an eye injury when concrete shattered part of his windshield early Friday morning. Four vehicles were damaged, including a marked sheriff’s department car, another tractor-trailer and a pickup truck.

A 20-year-old Leesville man, Jesse Tucker, faces two counts of attempted murder and four counts of malicious injury to personal property. He was being held at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.

Authorities say they’ll recommend that two 14-year-old boys face the same charges in family court.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Tucker has an attorney.
