ENOSBURG FALLS, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a farm worker has been critically injured in an accident with a hay baler in Enosburg Falls.

Police say the 21-year-old man was working on the large hay baler when he was injured Friday around 11:30 a.m.

He was taken to the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans and later transported to the Vermont Medical Center in Burlington with critical injuries.

Police say a preliminary investigation has determined that the accident was caused by a jack failure.
