HAMPTON, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police say human remains found in a vehicle stopped on Interstate 64 in Hampton earlier this month were the driver’s biological son.

The driver, 44-year-old Tonya M. Slaton of Richmond, was arrested and charged with concealment of a dead body on June 6. She is being held without bond and additional charges are pending.

Police said Friday the remains belonged to a juvenile, although Slaton’s son would have turned 25 on Tuesday. Police have not identified how or when Quincy Jamar Davis died. Police say they haven’t found any witnesses who know about his welfare after 2004, when he was living and going to school in Virginia Beach.

Virginia State Police are investigating the incident.
