WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - State police say they have arrested one of three suspects being sought in the attempted murder last fall of a woman who was stripped, beaten and taken to woods where her throat was slit.

Police in Wyoming County say the victim was found in October naked and bloody with a 3-inch-deep laceration “from the trachea to her ear” in Bear Creek Township.

Police said she was stripped at a Wilkes-Barre home and beaten “by a number of females,” then placed in a barrel for about four hours before being taken into the woods where her throat was cut.

Police said 31-year-old Jerone Moore was arrested Tuesday in Wilkes-Barre; court documents don’t list an attorney who could respond to the charges. Twenty-five-year-old Nygee Taylor and 21-year-old Chloe Isaacs are being sought.
