NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Police in Nashua, New Hampshire, have arrested 13 people in connection with a shooting that happened in April.

Police responded to the shooting on April 26. They learned that 24-year-old Eric Roman was suffering from a single gunshot to his leg.

Police said it started when two groups got involved in a fight. One man brandished a handgun and fired toward the group. Both groups fled afterward.

They said 19-year-old Travis McPherson of Nashua, identified as the shooter, was arraigned Monday on charges of first-degree assault, reckless conduct and riot. It was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.

The other 12 have been charged with riot. Police said many of them have affiliations with gangs.
