HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Two women have been sentenced to federal prison for defrauding their employers in West Virginia.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says 58-year-old Sandra Ball of Hurricane and 60-year-old Teresa Lewis of South Point, Ohio, were sentenced Monday. They pleaded guilty in March.

Ball was an auditor at Mountaineer 4-by-4, which deals in truck accessories. Prosecutors say she took nearly $450,000 from the Hurricane company’s checking account to pay personal expenses. She was sentenced to three years in prison on two counts of wire fraud.

Lewis was a billing assistant at the Huntington Retina Center. She made about $52,000 in unauthorized personal purchases on credit cards issued to the company and one of its doctors. She was sentenced to a year and a day on two counts of access device fraud.
